The Nebraska Board of Engineers and Architects is now accepting applications for its executive director position. Click here if you are interested in applying or would like to learn more.

Sall appointed interim director
Dale W. Sall, P.E. has been named interim director for the Nebraska Board of Engineers and Architects. On February 15th Sall assumed the responsibilities of former Director Melinda Pearson, whose resignation became effective earlier this month.

Sall, a licensed civil engineer from Holdrege, recently retired as a member of the Board after 29 years of service. As interim director, he will oversee the day-to-day operations of the organization until a permanent director is named.

Exemption increases for public works projects
Effective July 1, 2009, any public works project with contemplated expenditures for the completed project that do not exceed one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) are exempt from the provisions of the Nebraska Engineers and Architects Regulation Act. (more)

NCARB Announces ARE Security & Development Fee
Washington, DC—The National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) will increase the fees for the Architect Registration Examination® (ARE®) by $40 per division effective 1 October 2009. (more)

Requirements change with Clean Air Act
